Scholarship for Doctoral Degree at Kanazawa University

Kanazawa University in collaboration with Directorate of Higher education of Indonesia provide scholarship to take doctoral degree at Kanazawa University, Japan. This is a unique program organized by Kanazawa University (KU) and Indonesian Directorate General of Higher Education (DGHE or DIKTI).

The program is for the lecturers of Indonesian universities who presently hold a Master’s degree and would like to pursue a doctoral degree at KU. The program runs for 36 or 48 months, depending on the field of study, and it is entirely sponsored by DIKTI scholarship (Beasiswa Luar Negeri [LN] DIKTI or Beasiswa Unggulan DIKTI). Applicants will be selected and matched with academic adviser by the graduate schools at KU, then undergo separate interviews by DIKTI and the academic adviser. Upon successfully completing all processes, applicants will be admitted to KU as graduate students in the doctoral course. We are sure that the doctoral course at KU will stimulate your academic ability and expand your horizons. We look forward to receiving your application and hope to welcome you to our beautiful university.

A team from KU will come to Universitas Negeri Padang on January 24, 2014 at 9 a.m. to hold special briefing sessions on KU-DIKTI Program at several universities. The visit is scheduled from January 24 at UNP. For more information, please check back in mid-January. We plan to make flyers available for download at that time. Closing Ceremony of Intensive Course Program for Deakin University Students

Indonesian Language Department of FBS UNP in collaboration with Deakin University, Australia conducted a closing ceremony of Indonesian Language Intensive Course at Universitas Negeri Padang on December 20, 2013 at Basko Premier Hotel Padang.

Fauzi BaharThis closing ceremony was attended by Major of Padang, Dr. Fauzi Bahar, M.Si. and opened officially by Vice Rector of International affairs of UNP, Dr. Ardipal, M.Pd. Prof. Ismet Fanany as the Program Coordinator from Deakin University said that this program has been conducted for 20 Years between Deakin University and Universitas Negeri Padang.

Dra. Emidar, M.Pd. as the program coordinator in Indonesian Language Department of FBS UNP reported that the students studied bahasa Indonesia intensively for 6 weeks in UNP and also conducted various activities to study Indonesian and Minangkabau culture. We took the students to Adityawarman Museum, visiting home industries, etc.

Dr. Ardipal, M.Pd. really appreciated this program and encouraged all study programs in UNP to create such international program that will be promoted by the Office of International Affairs of UNP. Meanwhile, Dr. Fauzi Bahar, Major of Padang, congratulated the students and hoped that UNP could continue promoted this program for the future.

The students in this closing ceremony performed tari piring, tari indang, and also telling their experience in this program in Bahasa Indonesia fluently in front of the audience. (HA 2263) .
