Closing Ceremony of Intensive Course Program for Deakin University Students

Indonesian Language Department of FBS UNP in collaboration with Deakin University, Australia conducted a closing ceremony of Indonesian Language Intensive Course at Universitas Negeri Padang on December 20, 2013 at Basko Premier Hotel Padang.

Fauzi BaharThis closing ceremony was attended by Major of Padang, Dr. Fauzi Bahar, M.Si. and opened officially by Vice Rector of International affairs of UNP, Dr. Ardipal, M.Pd. Prof. Ismet Fanany as the Program Coordinator from Deakin University said that this program has been conducted for 20 Years between Deakin University and Universitas Negeri Padang.

Dra. Emidar, M.Pd. as the program coordinator in Indonesian Language Department of FBS UNP reported that the students studied bahasa Indonesia intensively for 6 weeks in UNP and also conducted various activities to study Indonesian and Minangkabau culture. We took the students to Adityawarman Museum, visiting home industries, etc.

Dr. Ardipal, M.Pd. really appreciated this program and encouraged all study programs in UNP to create such international program that will be promoted by the Office of International Affairs of UNP. Meanwhile, Dr. Fauzi Bahar, Major of Padang, congratulated the students and hoped that UNP could continue promoted this program for the future.

The students in this closing ceremony performed tari piring, tari indang, and also telling their experience in this program in Bahasa Indonesia fluently in front of the audience. (HA 2263) .
